There is a small area of land within Higher Ground Meadow which is not rich in wild flowers. It lies between two very tall old hedgerows, so there is too much shade for the flowers to establish. Here we do offer grave spaces that will have a tree planted, beside which can be placed one of our memorial name plates. In time this will create a small copse within the whole meadow area and so provide another type of habitat for the wildlife.
As this section fills we shall be planting native bluebells and primroses both a delight to see in the springtime.
The trees will have to be chosen from the following native varieties, and will be planted during the spring following a burial.
Ash or field maple with a limited amount of oaks, crab apple or wild cherry.
